How do I use SignNow on Android?

The basics

Using Templates

Our Templates feature allows you to turn an uploaded document into a template so that you can send a fresh copy of your most commonly used forms out to new signers.

Step 1 – Make the Template

Upload the document that you want to make a template, then tap the three dots to the right of the document name.

Step 2 – Create and Name the Template

Tap on Create template and give your template a name. You will be able to rename individual documents that are created from your template as well.

Step 3 – Access Your Template

Your template will now appear in the “Templates” folder.

Step 4 – Open Template and Create Document

To create a copy from the template (for an in-person signing, for example), tap on it. From there you can add text and/or signatures and upon clicking the checkmark to save it you will be prompted with a Save As box for the new document.

Accessing Your Templates

To get back to your Templates folder tap the three lines in the upper left and select Templates.

In-Person Signing

The following applies whether you’re wanting to add your own signature to a document or whether you’re collecting someone else’s signature while in-person.

Open the Document You Want Signed

From your main Documents folder, tap on the name of the document you want to get signed.

You Can Add Text If Necessary

There may be some instances where there are blanks that need filling. You can use the Text element to complete those.

Add Your Signature

You can easily insert your signature and resize it if it doesn’t quite fit into the document properly.

Insert the Date

Many documents require the date to be inserted. When you use the Date element you will see that day’s date automatically pre-populated. It’s added as a convenience, but you can easily change it by tapping in there and typing.

Saving the Signed Document

When you’ve completed the document tap on the checkmark at the very top of the screen then tap on Yes when asked “Are you done with the document?”

See Your Signed Document

When you go to your main Documents folder you will now see that your document says Signed directly beneath it in green.

Sign Templates Just As Easily

You can sign templates the exact same way you would a document.

Save Your Document When Finished

When you tap the checkmark at the top of your completed document you will be prompted to name it and save.

See? A Copy Is Being Created

You’re not adding to the template and making permanent changes to it. A copy is being made.

See Your Signed Document

When you go to your main Documents folder you will now see that your document says Signed directly beneath it in green.
