What are required fields?
‘Required fields’ are items that must be completed before a document is submitted. If you do not complete all the required fields, you will not be able to hit the ‘Complete’ button at all. Instead, you’ll be notified that you still have X amount of fields to complete in the document.
A required field will usually be in a dark color box that you can click on. You will also see a yellow flag on the left hand side to help you find a required field to complete.
A lighter color box is an optional field. You do not need to input information into lighter colored boxes before hitting submit.
If you are ever unsure about how to fulfill a document for completion, the ‘Guide Me’ button is there to help you find all the required fields. Simply click it and follow the instructions.
