How to set an expiration date for a document that needs to be signed?
Make sure your document is signed and completed on time by setting an expiration date and adding reminders. With SignNow you can easily set an expiration date for a document and extend it if needed.
To get started, upload a document to your SignNow account by clicking the Upload Document button.
Once you’ve uploaded a document, click the More button on the right and select Open Document from the dropdown menu to open your document.
Once your document has been opened you can add different types of fields: Signature, Text, Date/Time, Initials, Checkbox and Dropdown fields. Click on the field type you need and drag it on the document.
When you’ve finished adding fields to your document, click the Done button in the upper right corner.
Click the Invite to Sign button next to your document to customize the signing invitation.
To set an expiration date for a document, click the Advanced Options button. The expiration default is 30 days but you can extend the expiration date to a maximum time frame of 180 days.
Once you’ve set an expiration date for your document, click the Send Invite button and your document will be sent out to be signed.
