This is a question that often causes confusion, so here we go:

You can think of uploaded documents as files that you add to our server. So when you upload, import (from email, the Copy app or Dropbox, for example) or create a document from a template you are adding a new document.

What does NOT affect doc count:

1. The number of these documents that you sign or send for signing – you could just add them to and never sign or send, and they still add to your doc count
2. The number of pages in a document – whether it’s 3 or 300 pages in that file, it’s still just considered one document
3. The number of people you invite to sign that single document – whether 4 or 40 people are signing that single document, it’s still just counted once
